3/24/09 Call, write, visit or email your elected officials today to support the RENEWABLE ENERGY DIVIDEND!! Local contractors will put solar on your roof so you can profit from the electricity savings rather than FPL profiting from a solar farm out in the country installed by California contractors and shipping the money to shareholders on Wall Street. The FPL lobbyists are walking the halls RIGHT NOW telling Florida lawmakers that renewable energy credits are the way to go. It is for them and 2 or 3 other multinationals but not for the rest of us here in Florida. Renewable Energy Dividends are like the Feed In Tariffs that have been successful in Germany and Gainesville. We need your help! Also on April 14th here in Sarasota, we need you to show your support for the recommendation by the solar hot water task force to the Board of Commissioners that the County get their share of the economic stimulus money. Solar hot water is the biggest bang for the environmental buck! Wear yellow to the meeting that afternoon!
