STAR STUDDED LINE-UP AT THIS YEARS GIVING HUNGER THE BLUES
Entertainers and performers confirmed for this years Sarasota festival
Sunday March 25, from 12 noon to 8pm.
GHTB is an all day family event featuring local musicians and bands, area restaurants, beverage vendors, children’s games and activities. Live bands on two stages, one just for youth bands.
Headlining at this year’s event will be from Miami. Their style of music is known as “Sacred steel", a type of music described as an inspired, unique form of Gospel music with a hard-driving, blues-based beat. The musical genre is rooted in Gospel, but infused with rhythm and blues, jazz, rock, funk, hip-hop, country and ideas from other nations. The Lee Boys have performed live on the Conan O’Brien show.

With the combined efforts of local area restaurants, musicians, entertainers, sponsors and hundreds of volunteers, Giving Hunger The Blues this year will reach the benchmark of over one million dollars raised for the Sarasota Community.

Since 1995 Giving Hunger The Blues, a local non-profit organization, has been dedicated to raising funds for children in the Sarasota community, and has become the All Faiths Food Bank's biggest one day fundraiser. Giving Hunger The Blues is a green event.
